Jamesville is a hamlet located within the town of DeWitt in Onondaga County, New York, USA with zip code 13078. The hamlet is situated on the banks of Butternut Creek and is approximately 7 miles southeast of Syracuse. It is named after James DePeyster, an early landowner in the area. Jamesville is home to a number of historic buildings, including the historic Jamesville Depot, which is now a museum and events space. The hamlet is also home to Jamesville-DeWitt High School, a highly ranked public school in New York State.
